Toi Spa University Nail Spa

Just like every other nail salon in South Florida - nobody knows how to do a normal, GOOD QUALITY manicure, and all other services involved with it, like painting the nails. Pedicures are fairly good. A lot of people say that Toi Spas are the best of what you can get, but in my experience - all salons are the same. The service quality - all the same - bad. It’s like they don’t know how to do their job properly. If i go to a salon - i want my mani to look impeccable, not like an amateur has done my nails. Photo attached of the nails from the salon, and then i came home and re-did the thumb nail. Most i was unhappy was the painting of the nail - there shouldnt be a 1,5-2mm space between the cuticle and the paint!!! Every nail should have an apex!!! They dont bother doing that! The fingers must look smooth and clean at the end - they look like they have been chopped around the cuticle… all in all - bad quality job. I guess i should stop going to the salons and just spend 6 hrs doing my own nails the way i know should be professionally done. The first photo is the work done just an hour ago. DISAPPOINTING!!! The thumb nail i did at home. Oh yeah, and for the first time in my 17 years here - i did not leave a tip. I didnt think the technician deserved it, since she did not deliver a good job.

I had the worst experience with Chelsey at Toi spa in Davie. It was a nightmare! She was very passive aggressive, mean , sarcastic and snarky … I could go on! Today, (Christmas eve) I had booked my appointment, I had a mishap and called and notified I would be a little late. My appointment was at 2pm I arrived at 2:08. Everything was going ok , she told me she wasn’t able to do my toes, I said fine . I saw that she was rushing by the communication I wanted French dip or a nude color, decided with the nude because it would be faster. After soaking my nails she said I she could do French tips since she wasn’t doing my toes and this is where it all went LEFT! She asked what base color I wanted I said pink clear. However,when she applied it looked more opaque. I only wanted reassurance it would be clear pink ,and an attitude begun . She was like I will take it off and give you clear, if it show ridges are you fine with that . I was like ok . I asked if everything is ok is she in a rush , she said no. Through out the interaction she made me know her time was being “wasted”. I had to be calm and inhale. She said I’ll take it off , and while filing off the base , residue was flying in my face I had to shift my head to the left. While doing my nails she was asking how I wanted things done , at this point I made my little confirmation because her behavior was not kind or sincere at all . In my head I was just being calm, if I didn’t have a Christmas party to go to I would have walked out of that nail spa! I was silent through the rest of the service , at one point she took of her mask and gave and angry smile, the impatience was so obvious. Customer service was disgusting. If I had an attitude I would get her behavior, but this was out of left field. At the end of their service she asked if I wanted nothing extra . This lady made me feel uncomfortable by just questioning the base of French dip manicure, I for sure said no . Then she made the sarcastic remark that I didn’t know what I wanted that’s why she asked . After she was done I told her thank you ,there was no reply (because she is snarky). I asked the front desk who is the Manager. I was told her name is Mindy and she already left. I don’t write google review , but for this I made time . I had to compose myself,I wasn’t going to let that lady ruin my holiday season .Especially , since she already looks like a grinch when she angrily smiled at me . So unprofessional , and low vibrational…

I had the opportunity of getting my nails done for the first time at this location, and it was simply beautiful. They just did some renovations, and I was fortunate to have an amazing technician by the name of Vicky. She worked her magic and gave me the best gel pedicure and gel manicure I have had in the longest time she was so charismatic and was so knowledgeable and her trade. I am so looking forward to my next highly recommend the visit here everybody was so welcoming and sweet and the facility was so clean and beautiful.

I was there with my mom today. She is visiting from out of town, and I wanted to treat her to an up- class pedicure experience. I selected the aromatherapy pedicure for the both of us, $58 a person, supposed to be extra massage and bamboo massage... let me tell you, there was nothing extra or special about these pedicures! Don't waste your $$ here. I get better $25 pedicures at a regular nail salon. I even complained at the front desk, but they didn't care. I will never be going back. Highly disappointed.

I was a loyal customer for the last 6 months at Toi Spa University. I came and asked for a dip polish removal which costed me $15 dollars (completely absurd especially because I got my dip done WITH THEM) and left with my nails looking like the picture attached. The technician didnt even attempt to make them look presentable. NO OIL no nothing. I wasn't even asking for a manicure or anything. My nails look like the walking dead. I'm never coming back. I have yet to find a decent spot in South Florida

I have been a loyal client of toi spa for years. But I will not be returning. We look like like I’m giving two stars instead of none because if you find the right technician you’ll have great nails. I recently had a baby and I have been able to come three times since. I have had to bring her with me for my appointments. While I understand bringing an infant to a salon is not ideal, my daughter usually sleeps through the entire appointment with very few exceptions. Lately I have felt very unwelcome in your salon and it is quite sad. I feel like I am rushed out of the salon like I have a ticking bomb on my chest and it’s a shame. As a loyal client and a new mom with a full time work schedule, I look forward to the time to get services done even if it is only once a month these days. Today toward the end of my service my daughter started to cry. And I used my free hand to comfort her, being that my manicure was a gel manicure I figured once the coat was done curing it would be safe to use my hand. She only cried for 2 minutes. However, my technician noted that I had “really messed up my nails” even though it was only a base coat. Instead of fixing it, they said they wouldn’t change it and just painted over my nails not even waiting the full curing time under the lamp between coats. Once the top coat was painted, my technician said once the light turns off you can go. I was basically pushed out the door. It made me really sad to be treated that way and I will not be coming back. You guys do great nails but it’s hurts that after so many years coming to you I was treated more like a nuisance and less like a valued client
